Rich history and natural beauty

Town of Bol’s location is an excellent starting point for active tourism enthusiasts.

The nature and cultural heritage of the island of Brač are of unique value and beauty. The city of Bol and the island of Brač offer a rich offer to our visitors who want to spend their vacation actively.

Vidova gora

Vidova gora (a.s.l.: 778 m) is the highest peak on the island of Brač, and the highest island mountain peak on the entire Adriatic. From Vidova gora there is a beautiful view of Bol, the popular beach “Zlatni rat” and the island of Hvar.

It is located on the southern part of the island of Brač, above Bol.

The top is accessible by private vehicles; the road leads to it, which separates from the State Road D113 between Nerežišće and Pražnice. It is also very easily accessible to hikers and mountaineers, because the terrain slope to this Brac peak is very small.

Pustinja Blaca

The former hermitage of Glagoliticians, and later an observatory. It is located on the eastern slope of the valley on the southern side of the island of Brač, between Bol and Milna, about 2 km north of the bay of the same name.

A series of two-story stone houses with a church was restored in the 18th and 19th centuries and preserved with a complete civil interior, a rich inventory, astronomical instruments, a printer, an archive and a library. In addition to the residential part, outbuildings, apiary, cattle sheds and various tools have been preserved.

Zmajeva špilja

Dragon’s cave is called so because of the mysterious relief of a dragon found inside. It is located immediately above Murvica, on the island of Brač, in Croatia.

The dragon was carved by unknown monk in the 15th century, when the monks lived in the caves and even built a chapel in them. As well as the dragon, there is also a carving of the moon and other ancient cult symbols.
